Woodward will now go to the European Under-23 Championships |
Coleshill's Nathan Woodward pipped Kent man Jack Green to the 400m hurdles title at the U23 Outdoor Championships. Both athletes ran a time of 49.06 seconds, but it is Woodward who equals the British record for their age group. In the Under-20 category, Stratford's Andrew Pozzi won the 110m hurdles while Coventry's Rowena Cole took the 800m. Pozzi managed a Championship best 13.68 seconds, with Cole completing her laps in two minutes 7.93 secs at the two-day event in Bedford.
