Morrish will now travel to Glasgow to represent England |
Cornish schoolgirl Jordanna Morrish has been called up to the England Schools' Athletics Team after impressing the selectors in Stoke-On-Trent. The 14-year-old came second in the under-15 multi-skills event at the English Schools Amateur Championship. She scored 3045 points in the five-event competition, excelling in both the high-jump and 800m. Moorish will now represent England at the Home Countries Schools International in Glasgow this December. The multi-skills event consists of high-jump, sprint hurdles, long jump, shot put and 800m. Her head teacher Caroline Pascoe said: "Competing for her country is an honour she deserves, not just because of her hard work but also her excellent attitude in all aspects of her life. "We will all be offering our support as she prepares for her next big competition in December."
