Greene set for Welsh Championship
David Greene says he could run the 400m and not his regular 400m hurdles in this weekend's Welsh Athletics Championship in Cardiff.
"I've entered both and I've left the option open of whether to do both or just the one," he told BBC Sport Wales.
"I aim to win whatever I enter. I'm in good shape, hoping for good weather and looking forward to wearing Wales' red."
The meeting at the Cardiff International Sports Stadium will also serve as a Commonwealth Games trial.
Llanelli's Greene, 24, played down talk of a showdown with Welsh 400m hurdles rival Rhys Williams.
Highlights - Greene third in Oslo
"I've already raced him twice this season and beaten him twice," laughed Greene.
"We'll race in the European Championships trials and we train on a daily basis so it's not a big deal."
Greene is happy with the progress of his season as he targets the European Championships in Barcelona (27 July-1 August).
"I'll have the European Team Championships [in Bergen next week] and the UK trials, then one or two races at most in July before the Europeans," he said.
"There'll be a lot of training and fine-tuning of my hurdling skills to keep me ticking over.
"The European Championships are the biggest competition for me this year. Bigger than the Commonwealth Games - although I plan on doing well in both."
