Cornwall's top runners will be in action around Penzance on Sunday for round two of the Cornwall Grand Prix. The Mounts Bay 10 kilometre road race will be run through St Hilary and St Erth before finishing on the testing hill at Gwallon Lane, Marazion. In 2009 the race was won by Dave Buzza of Cornwall Athletics Club in 32 minutes 58 seconds, with Newquay's Oliver Gibson coming second. The race will start at 1100 GMT from Marazion Community Centre. Craig Tonkin, captain of Hayle Runners, believes Sunday's race will be very close. Tonkin said: "Races over shorter distances such as 10km bring out the speed specialists from Cornwall and our Mounts Bay race is becoming a favourite. "It sets the scene for the season and should be particularly interesting this year as we have a number of excellent local runners in the field of 500."
