Bristol based runner John Terry set a new record at the Alderney half marathon on Sunday. Terry, who runs with Westbury Harriers, finished the course in 1:23:30, knocking eight hundredths of a second off the previous record. Jon Coote from Jersey Spartans AC finished second in 1:30:00, with Kent AC's Mick Barlow coming home third. The old record was held by Jersey Spartans runner Phil Ahier who set a time of of 1:23:38 last year.
