Cole celebrates as she crosses the line in Suditrol

Coventry Godiva Harriers' Rowena Cole won a bronze medal in the 800m at the World Youth Championships held in Sudtirol, Italy.

Cole, 17, posted a personal best of two minutes 3.83 seconds in Sunday's final shaving nearly two seconds off her previous best set in the semi-finals.

Kenya's Cherono Koech won the event with Ireland's Ciara Mageean claiming the silver.

Great Britain finished third in the medal table behind Kenya and the US.
