Ciara Mageean won the Home Countries schools cross country title

Ciara Mageean produced another fine performance to win the Home Countries Schools International Cross Country event in Wales on Saturday.

The Portaferry runner's victory helped Ireland claim the team event in Bangor, with Ballymena & Antrim's Emma Black also among the three scorers.

The 5K race was run concurrently with an Under-20 women's race in which Mageean was second behind Emma Pallant.

World junior 1500m bronze medallist Pallant won by 12 seconds.
