Kate Dennison broke Janine Whitlock's old British record at the UK trials |
Kate Dennison has broken the British record for the women's pole vault for the third time in a month. The 24-year-old Sale Harrier, from Alsager, set a new mark of 4.49m at an indoor meeting in Oyannax, France. Dennison finished sixth at the European Indoor Championships in Turin in March, after winning the UK trials in Sheffield with a new British record. It was her first major European final, and she is now turning her attentions to the World Championships in Berlin.
