Who will be the new stars of this winter's series?

The Manx Gas winter cross challenge five-race series starts on Sunday with round one at Noble's Park.

Senior Gail Griffiths will look to continue her form, after a 34 minutes 35 seconds finish in March in the 8km Nottinghamshire Inter counties race.

The senior men's race will see current champion John Halligan defending his position against Kevin Loudes.

Entries will begin at 1315 BST at Noble's Park. Advance entry is at Manx Harriers, NSC at 1700 BST on Friday.

The courses will be grouped into:

• Under-9s girls and boys

• Under-11s girls and boys

• Under-13 girls and boys

• Under 15 girls

• Under-15 girls and boys

• Under-17 boys

• Under-20 women, senior and veteran women

• Under-20 men, senior and veteran men
