Jessica Ennis has said she is determined to get back to her very best when she returns from injury.
The Sheffield heptathlete's Beijing Olympic dream was shattered because of a fractured ankle, but she has set her sights high once she recovers.
"It's all about the European Indoors and World Championships, so next year is going to be a big one," the 22-year-old told BBC Look North.
"I'm just focused on redirecting my energy and motivation for that."
Ennis added: "I just want to get fit, getting back into shape and trying to maintain what I'd built this year.
"I just really want to go the World Championships and really want to make up for what I've missed out on this year.
It will make me a more patient person

"I just want to win medals."
Despite the huge disappointment of missing out on the chance to win an Olympic medal, the 22-year-old is keen to take the few positives from her injury lay-off.
"I think this will change me and hopefully for the better.
"It will make me a more patient person. I'm normally very impatient and want everything to happen right there and then.
"Also, I was so determined this year that I hope that will lift up even more and I'll be even more determined next year."
