Sweden's Olympic triple jump champion Christian Olsson will miss the rest of the season because of a knee injury. The 26-year-old retained his European title this month having returned to action in June following a foot injury.
The 2003 world champion had been out for 21 months and needed four operations to cure his problem.
"Of course it is sad that there won't be any more competitions this year, but I don't want to take any unnecessary risks," Olsson said.
