Gebrselassie to run in London 10k
Haile Gebrselassie
Gebrselassie will run in London's last sporting showcase before the vote
Ethiopian long distance star Haile Gebrselassie is set to take part in next month's British 10k London Run.

The race takes on Sunday, 3 July - three days before the venue for the 2012 Olympics is decided in Singapore.

Gebrselassie, 32, won the Great Manchester Run last month, smashing the UK all-comers 10k record on the way.

Event director Michael O'Reilly said: "As Haile is the world's greatest known distance runner, we are really pleased he has decided to take part."
