Lornah Kiplagat defeated Paula Radcliffe in her first race of the year |
Paula Radcliffe will have a chance to avenge her defeat to Lornah Kiplagat when the pair meet again at the World Cross Country Championships. Kiplagat has confirmed that, like Radcliffe, she will compete in both the 4km and 8km races at the championships on 20-21 March in Brussels.
Radcliffe was beaten by Kiplagat over 10km in Puerto Rico last month.
Kiplagat's husband Pieter Langerhorst said: "She is ready and fit for a double victory."
The Kenyan-born Dutch athlete, who defeated Radcliffe by four seconds Puerto Rico, is using the event as preparation for the Olympics, where she is competing in the 10,000m.
"After winning the Puerto Rico road race effortlessly, she is psyched for the cross country challenge," added Langerhorst.
"It is exciting that Lornah will again meet Radcliffe in Brussels and we are looking forward to another great race.
"When the two meet in a race, spectators are kept on their toes."
