Paul McKee plans to compete at the World Indoors in Budapest |
Paul McKee's participation in next month's World Indoor Championships is in doubt. McKee produced an improved run in Stuttgart on Saturday a week after a disappointing showing in Glasgow.
Last year's World Indoor bronze medallist clocked 47.67 to take third at the Sparkassen Cup in the 400m.
However, McKee said it was still not the kind of form that would convince him to compete in the World Indoor Championships in Budapest.
"I just do not have the speed in my legs at the moment," said McKee, who is still being troubled by a hamstring problem.
McKee may compete in a meeting in Stockholm on 12 February and plans to run in the Irish Indoor Championships at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast on 14-15 February.
The Belfast had more physio on the hamstring injury on Sunday but if his form and fitness doesn't improve, he may conclude his indoor season after the Irish Indoors.
