Tulu plays down chances
Derartu Tulu
Tulu is feeling below par but determined to perform well
Derartu Tulu says her chances of beating Paula Radcliffe and winning Sunday's Bupa Great North Run have been hampered by a chest infection.

"It isn't an excuse but it is affecting my preparations," said the Ethiopian, who is returning to action after a five-month absence.

"Even fully fit it would be hard to beat Paula. The way she is running since coming back, Paula already looks unbeatable."

Tulu was beaten by Radcliffe last Sunday when the Loughborough star, in only her second race since coming back from injury, set a new world record in a 5000m road race at London's Hyde Park.
