Conor Sweeney finished 11th in the Under-23 1500m final |
Northern Ireland athlete Conor Sweeney's hopes of a medal at the European Under-23 Championships came to nothing on Sunday.
The St Malachy's athlete will be disappointed with his 11th place in the final of the 1500 final.
When he finished fourth in Friday's semi-finals, Sweeney had clocked a season's best of three minutes 44.03 seconds.
However, on Sunday he did not get into a good position and could only manage 3:54.73.
The race was won by French teenager Mounir Yemmouni in 3:44.02.
