Merry ran at the same event two years ago |
Katharine Merry will run her first individual race in nearly two years at Glasgow's Scotstoun Stadium on 29 June. The Olympic 400m bronze medallist will be in the Great Britain and Northern Ireland team taking on Russia and the USA in the Norwich Union International Challenge.
She will compete in the 400m with Scottish runner Lee McConnell, a Commonwealth silver and European bronze medallist.
Merry, a Birchfield Harrier, will make her initial comeback for GB in the 4x400m at this weekend's European Cup after a two-year injury lay-off. Fellow Olympic bronze medallist Kelly Holmes will also have her first individual race of the season in Glasgow.
The Commonwealth 1500m champion will run in the 800m alongside Glasgow's Susan Scott, the British number one at the event last summer.
The event will also see Mark Lewis-Francis and European champion Dwain Chambers go head-to-head in the 100m, before teaming up in the 4x100m.
