Chelsea's five-year wait for a trophy ended on 27 February when they beat Liverpool 3-2 in the Carling Cup final.

Liverpool led for most of the game and Chelsea had to wait until the 79th minute to turn the game around.

Steven Gerrard's own-goal got them level and goals from Drogba and Kezman sealed the win and gave Mourinho his first silverware.
