Allardyce has already brought Nigerian Jay-Jay Okocha to Bolton and is now looking at his fellow countryman.

Aghahowa plays for Ukrainian side Shaktar Donetsk but Allardyce would not be able to sign the player until the transfer window re-opens in January.

And any possible move could depend on the cost of bringing the international to the Reebok Stadium.
