Federer's forehand is awesome - one of the best in the game. It has more spin than you might realise from watching on TV and he can hit winners from all areas.

The cross-court forehand is probably his biggest weapon and uses this to open things up against many of his opponents.

Generally he would then keep his opponent on the run by following it up with either the forehand down the line or the backhand cross court.

He also uses it to hit winners after he has opened up the left side of the court with either an inside-out forehand or a backhand cross court.
