Another week and another injury.
It was a nightmare - I was a set and 5-2 up against Jane O'Donoghue at Edgbaston and I went out for a wide forehand and just felt my back.
From then it was really difficult to run and I couldn't serve - I had to concede the match, it was a nightmare come true.
I think I'm cursed or something.
It's been a really bad year for injuries but I just need to look after myself even more.
Before I was number one it was a huge thing for me |
I need to do more pilates, more stretching, more massages, and more treatment.
If that's what I have to do to pick up my career then I will.
Hopefully after Wimbledon when I get the results of my liver tests then there'll be a way forward. And when this is all finished I'll be a much stronger person.
Right now I'm really looking forward to Eastbourne and then obviously Wimbledon.
What I did there last year was amazing but I'm not going to put pressure on myself because after what I've been through I know things are going to take time.
Baltacha now has a back problem |
If I get Venus or Serena in the first round that's the way life is and it will be a good experience.
Obviously the problems I've had have set me back a bit and it looks like I'm not going to be British number one for much longer - I think Anne Keothavong is going to pinch it off me.
But I'll be back there at number one again.
Obviously there is rivalry between us because she's pushing me and I'm pushing her.
But as people we get on well and I actually think it's good that there are people who are pushing at the number one.
Before I was number one it was a huge thing for me and it was one of my goals.
Now that I am I feel that I'd rather be three or four in the country and in the world's top 100.
That's the next goal for me.
