Paralympic hero Jim Anderson has been named BBC Scotland Sports Personality of the Year for 2004. The winner of four swimming golds at the Athens Games received 34% of the public vote, beating Ryder Cup star Colin Montgomerie into second place.
41-year-old Anderson holds world record times for the 200m freestyle, 100m backstroke and 50m backstroke.
The other nominees were Chris Hoy, Shirley Robertson, Scott Harrison and Julie Fleeting.
