Jim Anderson won his third gold medal of the Paralympics on another excellent night for Britain's swimmers in Athens. Anderson followed up his victories in the S2 100m and 200m freestyle with a storming display in the 50m event.
The 41-year-old clocked one minute 6.87 seconds to finish 2.31secs ahead of Frenchman Philippe Revillon, with American Curtis Lovejoy third.
There were silver medals for James Crisp and Fran Williamson, while Claire Cashmore and Danielle Watts won bronze.
Crisp claimed silver behind the USA's Jarrett Perry in the men's S9 100m backstroke final, with 16-year-old British team-mate David Hill eighth.
Williamson was second in the women's S3 50m freestyle as Mexico's Patricia Valle set a new world record.
Cashmore took bronze in the women's S9 100m backstroke behind Canada's Stephanie Dixon, who also broke the world record, and South Africa's Natalie du Toit.
And there was another bronze for Watts in the women's S2 50m freestyle as Spain's Sara Carracelas took gold and Greece's Maria Kalpakidou silver.
Sascha Kindred's bid for a third gold ended as he finished sixth in his weakest event - the S6 50m butterfly.
David Roberts, Matthew Walker, Jody Cundy, Sarah Bailey, Dervis Konuralp and Kenny Cairns missed out in their finals.
