England women too good for Canada
Charlotte Barras scored her first international try to help England women record a comfortable victory 41-3 over Canada at Newbury.

Sue Day, Catherine Spencer, Karen Andrew, Paula George and Nicky Crawford also crossed as England recorded their second win over Canada in four days.

"Canada made us work really hard for our win," said coach Geoff Richards.

"For the first half it was tight so to come out winners by forty odd points is very encouraging."

England women have their next training session at the end of November before taking on Wales on 8 December at Clifton RFC in Bristol.

England team: Sue Day; Nicola Crawford, Charlotte Barras, Paula George (capt), Kim Shaylor; Karen Andrew, Jo Yapp; Rochelle Clarke, Selena Rudge, Vanessa Gray, Jenny Sutton, Rachel Vickers, Georgia Stevens, Maggie Alphonsi, Catherine Spencer.
Replacements: Amy Garnett, Vanessa Huxford, Claire Green, Shannon Baker, Susie Appleby, Danielle Waterman, Vicki Massarella.
