Heineken Cup Pool Four

Clockwise from top: Bath flanker Luke Watson, Stade Francais back-rower James Haskell, Edinburgh kicker Chris Paterson and Ulster flanker Stephen Ferris

BATH: Coach Steve Meehan Captain Michael Claasens Player to watch: Luke Watson HC pedigree: Winners 1998

STADE FRANCAIS: Coach Jacques Delmas Captain Sergio Parisse Player to watch: James Haskell HC pedigree: Runners-up 2001, 2005

ULSTER: Coach Brian McLaughlin Captain Paddy Wallace Player to watch: Stephen Ferris HC pedigree: Winners 1999

EDINBURGH: Coach Rob Moffat Captain Mike Blair Player to watch: Chris Paterson HC pedigree: Quarter-finals 2004

Another relatively open group despite the presence of two-time finalists Stade Francais and two former winners.

The cash-rich, pink-shirted Parisians boast a cosmopolitan cast of French, Argentine, Italian, English, Scottish, South African and Australian internationals.

Such is their marketing pizzazz they are taking their match against Ulster across the border into Belgium to the 50,000-capacity King Baudoin Stadium in Brussels.

But the pyrotechnics off the pitch are not always matched on it, and all three opponents will fancy their chances.

Ulster and Edinburgh have both found good early-season form while Bath, despite a poor start domestically, have the attacking potential to trouble anyone on their day.
