Lions watch - Joe Worsley
England's Joe Worsley

A couple of weeks ago Joe Worsley was very few people's idea of a likely Lions tourist, but a brilliant display against Wales could have changed that.

Worsley tackled himself to a standstill, stopping Andy Powell and Jamie Roberts time and again - a display that earned him the gratitude of his captain Steve Borthwick.

"His work-rate was immense and what he brought to our defensive line was superb," Borthwick said.

VERDICT: While he may lack finesse with ball in hand, Worsley never shirks in defence and the Lions need that hard edge against a physical South Africa side.
