Dallaglio could appear in his second Heineken Cup final |
Wasps captain Lawrence Dallaglio believes his side's Heineken Cup final against Premiership rivals Leicester is just the boost English rugby needs. Dallaglio helped Wasps beat Northampton 30-13 on Sunday to set up the first-ever all-English final.
"It is going to be a worthy final between two teams who have dominated much of the professional era," he said.
"When you've got two of the top English teams in the final, perhaps there's not as much wrong as people think."
Wasp also face Leicester on Saturday in their final league game of the season with the London club needing a win to be sure of a place in the end-of-season Premiership play-offs.
The Heineken Cup final is at Twickenham on 20 May.
"Every game is a final between now and the end of the season because of the quality of the opposition and what is at stake," added Dallaglio.

"As players and coaches, it is what you enjoy."
Meanwhile, Dallaglio was non-commital when asked if he had been gouged by Northampton fly-half Carlos Spencer in the early stages.
"If there was something, it will be picked up by the appropriate people," he said.
Wasps director of Ian McGeechan said he was pleased with the way his players had held their nerve after going 13-0 down early on.
"It was a jolt to go behind, but nobody panicked," he said.
"Once we started to get our basics going and then built momentum it was a case of just remaining patient and waiting for the opportunities to come."
