TennisWhen considering where to stage the tennis at a 2012 Olympics, London's bid team would have been silly not to include Wimbledon.
The All England Club is one of Britain's most famous sporting venues, and could comfortably host the Olympics without the need for major modifications.
A London Games would offer the prospect of the first Olympic tennis event on grass since 1924, and the planned retractable roof for Centre Court should be in place well before 2012.
But the venue's location in south-west London could be tricky for competitors and fans alike as the athletes' village and main Olympic zone will be located in the east of the city.
