I think it was a very good performance by Kieren Fallon on North Light to win this year's Derby.
He was always positioned well in the first three, he used his stride well and came nicely down the straight.
To be honest, nothing really ever looked like beating him.
He had the race won a long time from home although there were a couple of very fast finishers in Rule of Law and Let the Lion Roar.
It is strange that it is exactly the same result as the Dante Stakes at York last month, although both races were completely different.
It was soft at York on the day of the Dante while conditions at Epsom were just about perfect while North Light coped superbly at Epsom with all of its unique twists and turns.

Kieren is a superb jockey around Epsom and has proved it this week even though he is riding good horses.
My tip for the race Snow Ridge, ridden by Frankie Dettori, was a big disappointment.
Before the race I thought he was a horse that had everything but on the day, he didn't look like anything special.
The signs were bad in the paddock before the race where he was sweating behind his hind legs and he looked dull.
He ran an ordinary type of race and it looked like Frankie asked him to pick up coming down the hill and he didn't like that and never really recovered.
