McLaughlin finished third in his last tilt at a national junior Hill Climb title |
Guernsey cyclists Dan Arblaster and James McLaughlin both made the podium at the National Hill Climb Championships in Matlock. The pair finished second and third respectively in the junior section, and were and 11th and 13th overall. For McLaughlin it was his third time on the podium in the junior event, but he will never win the title. He was third in 2006 and second last year, and 2008 was a last chance for the 18-year-old to race as a junior.
