Tue 25 January:Hoang Anh Tuan will not compete at the London Olympics after failing a drugs test. The International Weightlifting Federation have imposed a two-year ban after samples taken at the 2010 World Weightlifting Championships in Turkey tested positive for a banned substance. Sun 19 September: Hoang Anh Tuan finished fourth in the 56kg category of the 2010 World Weightlifting Championships in Turkey. Tuan lifted 123kg in the snatch and 150kg in the clean and jerk. His combined total weight of 273kg was 17kg less than the 290kg he lifted to win silver at the Beijing Olympics. Wu Jingbiao won the event with a total of 292kg.
