He won the Europa Shopping Center High Jump competition in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia with a jump of 2.38m but couldn't clear 2.44m.

Sat 29 Jan 11: On his season's debut, Ivan jumped 2.38m (IAAF). Competing at the Hustopece indoor high jump competition, Ivan also narrowly missed out on beating Javier Sotomayor's 2.43m world indoor record.
