Gillings will compete for GB in the Winter Olympics next month |
Isle of Man snowboarder Zoe Gillings finished a disappointing 13th at the latest round of the Snowboard-cross World Cup in Stoneham, Canada. The British number one qualified 13th quickest, but failed to make an impression in her quarter-final. The 24-year-old said: "I'm not happy with the result but there were a lot of crashes, so I'm pleased to make it through the competition injury free." Gillings will now concentrate on the Winter Olympics which start next month. The Manx snowboarder is a medal contender for Team GB in the Vancouver Games, which start on 12 February. The snowboard-cross takes place on 16 February at Cypress Mountain.
