Gillings will compete for GB in the Winter Olympics next month

Isle of Man snowboarder Zoe Gillings has qualified for Friday's finals at the latest round of the Snowboard-cross World Cup in Stoneham, Canada.

The British number one qualified 13th, with the top 16 progressing.

The 24-year-old will be looking to improve on her best result of the season - sixth in Bad Gastein, Austria, in the last round.

She missed out on a place in the four-rider final but finished second in the small final.

Gillings represents a medal chance for Team GB in the Vancouver Games, which start on 12 February. The snowboard-cross takes place on 16 February at Cypress Mountain.
