Carrickfergus rider Alistair Seeley claimed victory and the 3,500 euros first prize in Sunday's Mondello Masters first round.

Seeley came in ahead of Declan Swanton with Antrim's Adrian Coates third and Gary Johnson in fourth.

Johnson, Brian McCormack and Swanton won the three superbike races run over both Saturday and Sunday with Seeley twice a runner-up.

Jack Kennedy won two Supersport races and Marty Nutt the third event.

Ballymoney's Paul Robinson was a double winner in the 125cc class, with Mark Lunney cliaming victory in the third race.

David Craig took two 250cc victories and Nigel Percy was a 125cc winner.

Lee Hill claimed a brace of wins in the Mini Twins races, with Alan Glasgow winning the other race.

Meanwhile, the organisers of the Mondello Masters have been forced to reschedule the second round of the series, which had been scheduled to take place on 10 and 11 May.

The move follows the rescheduling of the British Superbike round at Brands Hatch, which was cancelled last week because of snow.

The ISB races planned for that weekend will go ahead as planned, without Mondello Masters status, and the next Masters race will now be run on 6 July.
