Walker on comeback trail
Chris Walker
Walker has a month before the new season starts
HMP Plant Ducati rider Chris Walker has revealed he is well on the way to full fitness after breaking his leg and ankle in a supermoto accident last year.

But with a month to go before the start of the new World Superbike Championship, the Briton says he is not yet ready to race.

"It was good to ride and good to get out on track but I know I'm not quite fit enough to last a full 30-lap race yet," said the Nottingham-based rider.

"I'm getting around on my leg a lot better and talking to the physio quite a lot. I've started gentle runs too.

"My fitness has been main thing off track and I've been fortunate that the hotels I have been staying in have had a gym."
