Alonso is becoming increasingly estranged from his team |
Fernando Alonso has launched a fresh attack on his McLaren team, according to Spanish media reports. "This isn't the treatment a two-time champion deserves," Alonso was quoted as saying after qualifying for the China Grand Prix in Shanghai.
"I came here after winning two world championships and I improved the car all I could. I expected a lot more.
"From what they've said and done, it doesn't look as though they are very keen (to keep Alonso for 2008)."
Alonso's relationships with McLaren boss Ron Dennis and team-mate Lewis Hamilton have gone from bad to worse in recent months.
Things reached rock bottom following the 'Spygate' case which saw McLaren fined 49.2m and stripped of their constructors' points for 2007.
F1's governing body the FIA decided McLaren personnel, including Alonso and test driver Pedro de la Rosa had used Ferrari data which should not have been in their hands.

It was widely reported that Alonso had warned Dennis he would go to the FIA with fresh evidence if he did not receive top-driver status at the team.
According to Saturday's reports, Alonso in part blames the close bond between Dennis and his protege Hamilton for his troubles.
"When you hear the declarations of your boss that he feels a paternal sentiment for one of your team-mates and rivals, then you know you can never have much trust in what that person will do," he said.
However, Alonso spared Hamilton any fresh criticism.
The 22-year-old Briton can become the first rookie to win the F1 title with a victory in Shanghai.
"He will deserve it if he wins the title," Alonso said.
"If I don't win this year it's because someone has scored more points than me, and if that's the case it's because he has done a better job."
