Alonso is penalised for delaying Hamilton at the end of qualifying and denying him a chance at securing pole, but that came after the British driver disobeyed team orders and did not let the Spaniard pass at the start of qualifying.

Hamilton goes on to win at the Hungaroring after being promoted to pole while Alonso finishes fourth after being demoted from first to sixth on the grid.

Team boss Ron Dennis said: "It's been a very difficult time and both drivers must take responsibility."
