| Schumacher's future unclear ![]() Schumacher (left) has led Ferrari to the title this year Ferrari's Michael Schumacher is unsure whether he will continue in Formula One when his contract runs out, according to his manager. The five-time world champion has denied reports that he will bring an end to his stunning career when his contract expires in 2004. In February, the German talked of beginning discussions to extend his contract with the Italian team beyond 2004. But his manager Willi Weber admitted Schumacher is now undecided about whether he will drive on. "Michael does not know if he wants to continue to drive," Weber told Italian sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport. Schumacher, who has already clinched the 2002 drivers' title, helped Ferrari secure the manufacturers' title by following team-mate Rubens Barrichello home in Hungary on Sunday. And Ferrari president Luca Montezemolo is said to be keen to keep Schumacher for a further two years. But Weber added: "I have heard about the wishes of Montezemolo, but for the time being we're not talking about a renewal of contract. I'd say that 2003 will be a good time to do it." |
