Michael Laverty secures two podiums at Cadwell Park

Michael Laverty secured his first British Superbikes win earlier this month

Michael Laverty clinched second and third place finishes in Sunday's round of the British Superbike Championship at Cadwell Park.

The Toomebridge rider's brother John was sixth and fifth in the two races with Alastair Seeley ninth and seventh and Ian Lowry 11th and 12th.

William Dunlop, who received backing from an anonymous benefactor to enter the 125 race, finished seventh.

Marty Nutt came in 13th in the Supersport class.

Michael Laverty moves up a place to third in the Superbike series, 26 points behind leader Tommy Hill.

John Laverty is sixth with Carrickfergus rider Seeley seventh and Lowry 20th.
