Graham Taylor's tactical analysis of England-T&T
Sven's substitutions
Sven-Goran Eriksson has been criticised for making like-for-like substitutions in the past. At least when he took off Michael Owen he was trying to change the format.

But the result was that Peter Crouch was isolated and it became harder for England to hold onto the ball.

Crouch has not got the pace to run into the channels like Owen. You have to play it into him.

I see no reason why we will need to supplement our midfield on Thursday. If Eriksson wants to make a change maybe we will see Theo Walcott. If not, why did we bring him?
