I wanted Spain to go through because they'd give Brazil a better game, but I cannot stand Aragones he is so arrogant and unapologetic. Good riddance 3 -1 France!

Patrick Vieira! 2-1 I knew Spain were going to lose, they just can't beat teams they need to!

Great game so far. Great goal by both teams. That penalty was great...even if the goalkeeper makes a right guess it's not possible to stop that kinda shot. Frances goal was amazing too. It wasn't offside at all. When the ball left that guys feet, Ribery was way behind the spanish defenders.

Ribery. Fantastic goal. Really, really, really bad haircut.

That was a tough call, but it was the right call. Now let's just hope if France get knocked down like that in the penalty box he calls it as well.

Tonight Spain will come of age. This is the best Spanish team for some time. This Spanish team have played beautifully to date. It's the young guns versus the old lags - Spain will have too much for France. And sorry, but Zidane is finished- he won't see the ball tonight!

Strangely enough, I believe all the pressure is on Spain. Most people see the Spaniards winning this game, including the French press and public after France's performances so far and Spain's impressive play in the first two games.
I think this will mean a more relaxed France tonight, with nothing to lose, and I can see them winning this...

This could be Spain's time I reckon. Really strong squad and if they click tonight they could be too strong for France.
For me, I think France's problems stem from the fact that the spine of their team and the dominant figures in the team are past their prime. I think France really need to base a team around strong players in their prime at present. I would suggest Henry, Guily, Gallas in that category. I also think that France are missing out by not playing more young stars like Mexes and Saha. Thuram, Zidane and Vieira simply won't win them the World Cup but I can see why they brought them back for experience reasons after they had retired.
Zidane still acts as the big playmaker but the stepovers, skill passing and shooting are not quite so sharp anymore. It's sad really to see him play in the shadow of his past form but how could he resist the chance to play at one last big tournament.

Surprised Luis Garcia isn't playing but this should be a classic attacking game. Fingers rossed for a fantastic game.

I would like to see France go through. It's a tough call...Spain is the better team...we all agree on that. Much depends on the French squad's attitude in this game.
