Notts County have agreed a deal to sign ex-Brentford and Aberdeen goalkeeper Stuart Nelson on a two-year contract.
The 28-year-old, who will complete his move after passing a medical at the League One club, only joined the Dons last summer on a one-year deal.
But Nelson has decided not to wait to be offered a new deal at Pittodrie.
Aberdeen manager Mark McGhee recently secured young goalkeeper Scott Bain on a new contract to provide back-up to first choice Jamie Langfield.
Nelson started his career at Doncaster before going on to make more than 130 appearances for Brentford.
However, he made only three appearances for the Dons in the Scottish Premier League.
New Magpies boss Craig Short has already signed keeper Rob Burch from League Two side Lincoln City on a two-year deal.
