Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has completed the loan signing of Sunderland striker Martyn Waghorn on loan in time for the new season.
Waghorn, 19, is a product of the Black Cats' academy, and Pearson was keen to bring him in to bolster his side on their return to the Championship.
"He's trained with us and done well," Pearson told BBC Radio Leicester.
"He's somebody who will come into the squad and hopefully have a very positive effect."
Waghorn made his Premier League debut for Sunderland against Manchester United in December 2007.
He spent two months with Charlton Athletic in the Championship last season, making seven appearances and scoring one goal.
