Former Brentford striker DJ Campbell, who has subsequently joined Birmingham, has been named as League One's player of the month for January. Campbell, 24, scored five goals in his final four league games for the Bees.
He also managed three more strikes in two FA Cup games, including a brace in the fourth round win against Sunderland that saw him make national headlines.
The other contenders were Colchester's Neil Danns, Darryl Flahavan of Southend and Swansea striker Leon Knight.
