Bradford manager Peter Taylor targets further signings
Taylor's side begin the new season at Shrewsbury
Bradford manager Peter Taylor wants to add two more players to his squad before the start of the new season.
Taylor has already secured the signings of defenders Luke Oliver and Robbie Threlfall and goalkeeper Lloyd Saxton.
Taylor told BBC Radio Leeds: "I'd like another forward in the building and I'd like another attacking midfield player.
"I've made some decent enquiries, I don't think we're a million miles away from securing the two players, and I could have some good news soon."
Taylor continued: "The team that we could put out now would be a decent team but I just think that if we could bring in another two quality players it would help the strength of the squad.
"The way the boys finished off last year they should be delighted with themselves and looking forward to starting again."
The club are also in negotiations with striker James Hanson over an extension to his contract.
The 22-year-old scored 13 goals in his first season in league football after signing from Guiseley.
Although he has a year left on his existing deal, Bradford are keen to tie him down to a longer contract.
"That's hopefully happening very soon," Taylor told the Telegraph & Argus.
I thought we made good progress so we probably didn't want the season to finish

"We hope that James will be fit and well for next season and carry on playing for us as well as he has done."
Taylor is beginning his first full season in charge at Valley Parade after signing a one-year deal over the summer, and the former England caretaker coach is looking forward to the new campaign.
"Like most managers you need a little bit of a break, but I didn't have a full season last year and I only had three months at Bradford," he said.
"I thought we made good progress so we probably didn't want the season to finish to be fair, so hopefully the boys feel pretty good and they're looking forward to it."
