Blackburn Rovers midfielder Brett Emerton has signed a new four-year deal with the club. Emerton, 27, joins a list of players - Morten Gamst Pedersen, Steven Reid, Michael Gray, Ryan Nelsen and Tugay - who have all signed new deals.
"He's a player who gives me a lot of options," said Rovers manager Mark Hughes recently.
"He can carry the ball from one end of the field to the other. That's why teams have coveted him this summer."
The Australia international joined Blackburn from Feyenoord for �2.2m in 2003.
