Midfielder Luis Figo is considering his international future after Portugal's defeat in the Euro 2004 final. The Real Madrid player was devastated after the loss at the hands of Greece but said that he might stay on until the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
The 31-year-old said: "Now is not the moment to talk about my future. First of all I need to rest and think and then I will make a decision."
Rui Costa has already decided to retire and Fernando Couto may also quit.
Lazio defender Couto, 34, said: "We have to look to the future and forget this game because we have proved that this team has quality but I have not decided what do myself yet."
Figo, Costa and Couto are the last survivors of Portugal's 'golden generation', who won the World Youth Championship in 1989.
