Ferguson predicts tight finish
Sol Campbell was sent-off for elbowing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Campbell sees red after elbow
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admits the Premiership race will go to the wire after the title showdown with Arsenal ended in deadlock.

But Arsenal counterpart Arsenal Wenger was left bemoaning the late sending off of Sol Campbell in the 2-2 Highbury draw as "a complete joke".

Campbell is set to miss the FA Cup final against Southampton and three Premiership matches after his second sending off this season, this time for elbowing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Ruud van Nistelrooy gave Manchester United a first-half lead, Thierry Henry responding twice for Arsenal before Ryan Giggs headed an equaliser.

Ferguson was the happier of the two managers, with United holding a three-point lead even though Arsenal have a game in hand.

He said: "I think it's going to go to the wire.

"You've seen two great teams and our boys have got the momentum now - I'm just sorry we didn't weather their storm.

"Arsenal have scored more goals than us - we have to do something about it.

"We've got four games left and they are all tough.

HAVE YOUR SAY

"Arsenal have five left and two or three of them are tough - the pot is still boiling very strongly."

And Wenger, who also lost captain Patrick Vieira in the first half with a knee injury, added: "I cannot say that anybody is in the driving seat.

"We have a big game at Middlesbrough on Saturday and we go from game to game because it can all change so quickly.

"The only way to win it is to give your all for each game."

Wenger added Campbell was devastated by his dismissal.

"Sol's destroyed because he cannot understand it. Everybody knows he did not touch him on purpose. He had no intention of touching Solskjaer.

"What is his interest in doing Solskjaer with an elbow?

"He had the ball and just wanted to gain an extra yard to give the ball by pushing his arm out, which 99% of players do.

"I can show you some straight elbows against us, which were really dangerous, but this was definitely an accidental one. I'm very disappointed.

"In training, I've seen him in extreme situations. He doesn't hit or kick anyone. It's a complete joke.

"Frankly, I still can't believe it. I would love us to play Manchester United again and a linesman to do that to Manchester United as I've never seen it."

Wenger admits he is worried by Vieira's knee injury.

He said: "I don't know how long he will be out for. I have left him in and out. The only thing I can say is that isn't the solution as it hasn't got rid of the pain."
