Zamalek coach Hossam Hassan dedicated the club's win to Egypt

Zamalek coach Hossam Hassan has dedicated his side's 4-0 victory over Kenya's Ulinzi stars in the Champions League, to crisis-torn Egypt.

After a goalless first half, Mahmoud Fathallah opened scoring for the visitors in the 62nd minute.

Hassan Mostafa, Mohammed Amine made it and Ibrahim Salah each scored one for the Egyptians.

"This victory is for Egypt. [It] was difficult because of the crisis back home," Hassan told reporters.

Nearly 100 people have been killed and several thousand injured since the outbreak of anti-government unrest in Egypt.

Zamalek have lifted the Champions League trophy five times since 1984, a record bettered only by Cairo neighbours Al-Ahly but the last success came nine years ago.

Elsewhere, SuperSport United of South Africa are on track for a second round Champions League tie with Egyptian giants Al Ahly after a 2-0 win over Matlama of Lesotho.

Jabulani Maluleke and Tebogo Langerman scored the goals that gave SuperSport victory.

"It would be a wonderful experience for my players to meet a side that has won the competition a record six times," SuperSport coach Gavin Hunt said.

"I would relish the challenge of facing Ahly. A tie against Ahly is a huge incentive to eliminate Matlama."

In other games, Vusi Thumbatha, Ndoda Mthethwa and Sibusiso Dlamini were all on target as Young Buffaloes of Swaziland triumphed 3-0 over St Michel United of Seychelles.

Real Bangui of Central African Republic was held to a 1-1 draw at home by Algeria's Mouloudia Alger.

Nigeria's Enyimba got a priceless 1-0 away victory against St Michel de Ouenze of Congo with Ifeanyi Ede grabbing the winner for the visitors in the 40th minute.

Djoliba AC of Mali also got an away victory, beating Sierra Leone's East End Lions 2-0 in Freetown.

Zanzibar Ocean View of Tanzania could only manage a 1-1 draw at home with AS Vita of DR Congo.

A late goal gave Cnaps Sports of Madagascar a surprise 1-0 win away to Zimbabwean debutants Motor Action in Harare.
